      An Evening with Daniel Mathews

Old Firehouse Books is excited to welcome author Daniel Mathews to Fort Collins! We are proud to partner with the CSU Morgan Library and the Poudre River Public Library District to make this event possible. Join us on Thursday, April 23rd at 7:00pm at St. Luke's Episcopal Church (2000 Stover St) to hear Daniel speak about his new book Trees in Trouble: Wildfires, Infestations, and Climate Change. This event is free and open to the public.

Climate change manifests in many ways across North America, but few as dramatic as the attacks on our western pine forest. Daniel Mathews tells the urgent story of this loss, working with burn crews and forest ecologists as they study the myraid risk factors. Scrupulously researched, this books explores the devastating ripple effects of climate change while introducing us to the people devoting their lives to saving our forests. Perhaps most importantly, this book offers hope.

We hope you’ll join us for this event!
